Project: SAMTEX

SAMTEX is an electronic, audiovisual performance band, fronted by radio host and national icon Sam De Bruyn.
It combines live performance, remixing and live visuals to create a rich experience.

Fastronaut does the entire production of the band, technical production, audio production, website, social media, merchandizing, etc.

Production

SAMTEX uses linked Ableton Live stations for audio with various controllers, mixing own tracks with a DJ-like library of sampled music and audio, but enormous live and technical freedom.

The two Live stations are linked together and to the visual computer through OSC (over LAN) to reflect key events in the show.

Audio Production

Next to own tracks, we’ve produced remixes for School Is Cool and SX, and are working on various others.

Website

The website is built on WordPress, with specific integration and/or automatization of:

• Fast and easy tour calendar
• SoundCloud implementation with detection of iTunes/Beatport/Spotify/… links
• Twitter/Facebook
• Fast YouTube embedding
• Image gallery

Video

When there is opportunity, we capture (with one or multiple cameras) the shows, edit them, and push them out to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and all available channels.

Our target audience is very active on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and similar services.
On Twitter, we reach a combined target audience of 28.000 people.
